Accessibility Statement.
01Our Commitment
The Crane Consultancy is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site well, not as an afterthought, and it is reviewed as the site changes.
Found a barrier? If any part of this site is difficult to use, please tell us at [email protected] and we will put it right.
02Conformance Status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. To the best of our knowledge this website substantially conforms with that standard. Conformance is assessed through a combination of automated testing and manual review, and we treat any shortfall as a fault to be fixed rather than a permanent state.
03How We Build for Access
The site is built with accessibility designed in from the start:
- Semantic HTML and landmark regions so the page structure is clear to screen readers
- Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Colour contrast chosen to meet or exceed the WCAG AA thresholds
- Text that scales with browser and operating-system settings without breaking the layout
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and captions on the founder introduction video
- ARIA attributes used only where native HTML cannot convey the same meaning
04Motion and Animation
This site uses subtle motion as part of its design. Where your device or browser is set to reduce motion, through the operating-system "reduce motion" preference, those animations are disabled or simplified automatically. There is no auto-playing audio anywhere on the site.
05Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge) and with common screen readers. Core content and navigation are built using progressive enhancement, so the site remains usable even where JavaScript is unavailable or fails to load.
06Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain. Embedded third-party content, such as mapping or video players, is not always fully within our control, and any decorative motion is provided for visual effect only and conveys no information. Where we become aware of a barrier, we prioritise fixing it. If you encounter something that is not listed here, please let us know.
07Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you find a barrier, need information in a different format, or want to report a problem, please contact us:
We aim to respond within five working days, and to provide requested information in an accessible format wherever it is reasonable to do so.
08Enforcement
This statement reflects our obligations under the Equality Act 2010. If you contact us with an accessibility problem and are not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter with the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
