The Challenge

The problem on the table.

An established British manufacturer ran a structured, multistage RFP to choose a partner for organic growth, with competitors in the field. This was not a brief that would be won by the loudest pitch or the biggest logo wall.

It would be won by demonstrating, in detail, how rankings are actually engineered: the structured data, machine-readability and entity model that decide modern search, and that increasingly decide whether AI systems can read and cite a brand at all.

The Approach

What forensic looked like here.

Rather than a generic credentials deck, the response was a worked technical proposal and a structured schema brief, showing exactly how the manufacturer's products, ranges and specifications would be modelled so that both search engines and AI systems could read them cleanly.

The case was made on the discipline that quietly decides competitive SEO mandates: structured data done properly, crawlability and architecture, and an entity graph that makes a brand legible to Google and to the large language models now answering buyers' questions. The proposal was the proof of competence, not a promise of it.

  • A worked technical SEO proposal, not a credentials deck
  • A structured schema and structured-data brief
  • An entity model for both classic and AI search
  • An architecture and crawlability plan
The Result

What changed.

The mandate was won on technical merit through the RFP, against competition, on the strength of the thinking rather than the pitch theatre.

The engagement now spans technical SEO and AI search optimisation for the manufacturer, held by the same senior practitioner who wrote the winning proposal. The person who won the work is the person doing it.

  • Multistagecompetitive RFP, won
  • Schema-firsttechnical approach
  • SEO + AIongoing mandate
